Ashburg Kato Beaten To Pulp By Police, Front Tooth Removed

Controversial blogger, Ashburg Kato has said he has denounced his love and support for the current government. Kato says the police badly beat him as he came back from UBC. Apparently, the police couldn’t identify him much as he tried to talk about himself.

“I have been badly assaulted (physically), embarrassed and manhandled by O.C of Post Office Police Post (Atwasa Gilbert). They would have beat me but not tow the car I just borrowed to take me to @ubctvuganda to present a National Project about Climate Change.”

Even after identifying myself still they continued to beat the teeth out of me, how can I lose a teeth in the hands of the government and same institution I had just represented on a national tv like this??? Is this how u could pay me @PoliceUg ? Thank u.

Ashburg said he called Balaam but even he couldn’t help because they actually didn’t let him. Balaam spoke to the police men on phone in vain. They rather continued to beat him up until he lost some tooth.

“@Balaam1980 tried to save me but they couldn’t talk to him, I called everyone I thought could help me but they didn’t pick,… I’m hurt to core. I can’t even forgive myself. I thought I was of little value to my gov’t I was wrong. How will I even walk on the same streets with these gaps in my teeth God? Friends, I’m in pain. As in real pain but the doctors at Senta Medical are trying.”

It’s in this note that he denounced his love for the government in power though he says he will still vote for Museveni.

“I WILL VOTE @KagutaMuseveni AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE MY COUNTRY BÙT AS OF NOW… I DENOUNCE MY LOVE N SUPPORT FOR THIS GOVERNMENT. LET ME TREAT MY WOUNDS, PAIN & SHAME IN PEACE, I WILL RISE AGAIN INSHALLAH”
