However, it’s been over a month since prices escalated and looks like nothing has changed. Asuman noted that even the war between Russia and Ukraine has become an escape route.
“The issue of the skyrocketing prices started with fuel. We were promised that in three weeks, the situation would stabilize, but up to now, it hasn’t. The war between Russia and Ukraine has now become an escape route,” Asuman said.
Asuman said even in parliament when the matter was tabled, it was not discussed for long. He says as parliament they are doing a disservice to the country.
“I want to apologize to the country that, as Parliament, we haven’t given much attention to the issue of skyrocketing prices. We discussed it in Parliament, but the discussion didn’t take long. We are doing a disservice to the country.”

“By now Basalirwa should know where the problem is and offer solutions! Why is he even am MP,” a one Misinde said.
