The Bangkok Bomb blast kills over 27 including Foreigners

Police and rescue workers said the bomb that was fixed on a motor bike exploded outside a hindu Erawan shrine in the Thai capital, Bangkok on monday killing at least 12 people in the first place.

The deputy National police Chief, Aek Angsananond told Reuters that Monday’s bomb blast in central Bangkok was invoving a motorcycle, however the casualities have been there but details are not yet confirmed.

Later the Thai National television confirmed 27 people dead in this bomb blast just near the Erawan Hindu shrine and three foreigners where among those who have died, the media said more than 20 people have been injured and among them were tourists from Taiwan and China.

The Bangkok bomb blast is one of the worst!

The Thai defence minister, Prawit Wongsuwan and other government officials told Reuters that perpetrators were aiming to destroy the tourism and economy sector simply because the bomb exploded just in the heart of Thai tourism district.

There has no claim of responsibility, however the government forces are fighting a small group of muslim insurgency in the south of Thailand, but they had not yet started dangerous attacks in major places.
