It seems that the controversy surrounding the now-former Omoro MP is set to drag on for some time.
After the announcement that a 2.5 billion shillings budget had been passed to see off the burial, lots of people expected the ceremony to be made of pomp, flair and just marvelous.
However, there were a number of loopholes. During a talk show on NBS TV, the NUP MP for Busujju County, Hon David Kalwanga revealed that they served them beans despite the monstrous budget.
“With that huge budget, at Oulanyah’s burial, they served us beans,” Hon David Kalwanga said.
This saw the NRM spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa reply that “Chicken was also there.” However, Hon Barnabas Tinkasimire said that beans were served to only NUP MPs.
Meanwhile, Hon Kalwanga also talked about the strong winds that blew over the burial grounds on the day of the late Oulanyah’s send-off.
Kalwanga says that however much this might be ignored, there is a hidden meaning behind it.
“The abrupt wind at Oulanyah’s burial is unusual, and there is a reason behind it. Only that we tend to ignore such things,” he added.
In regards to filling the Parliamentary void left behind by Oulanyah, the EC has already released a program.
It already seems like one of Oulanyah’s sons is ready to take over his father’s place. The NRM has shown that they are ready to support him in case he makes up his mind.
