Uganda cranes coach Moses Basena on Thursday after the Morning training session at Namboole named a 20 man squad for the 2018 FIFA World cup qualifier this Sunday.

Denis Onyango, Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Murushid Juuko are among the few players on the list that is congested with locally based players.
With almost nothing to play for as table leaders Egypt have already sealed their place at the upcoming 2018 Russia World Cup, Basena believes that this game still carries water:
“It’s a pleasure that we are still in this situation where we still have to play a World Cup qualification game, it’s important for the players and as a country as a whole,” Basena briefly told the media on Thursday.
Uganda are second of Group E with 8 points, four points below Egypts and two above Ghana who are in second, Congo are bottom of the log with just one point.
In the other group tie, Ghana will play host to the visiting Egypt the same day – Sunday.
The game which will be played at Unite de Kintele in Brazaville will be officiated by Mohammed Hussein El Fadhil of Sudan (Referee), Assistants Ibrahim Mohammed Abdallah of Sudan and Egueh Yacin Hassan of Djibouti.
