UMA is currently in a campaign to elect a new team of leadership to oversee a new term.
The previous regime had two presidents with Ykee Benda being succeeded by Cindy after the Mpaka records boss stepped down.
So far only two people have expressed their interest and have picked nomination forms. However, the Gagamel boss feels like none of the two are suitable for the position.
“I don’t think any of the people that have picked the nomination forms are fit for the position. Cindy has been in that position but she has failed to unite the musicians. The problem with her is that she can’t accommodate opposition. If you don’t agree with her, then your bound to face challenges with her,” the singer said.
He further added that for King Saha, it’s his behavior. Bebe Cool said that for a long time, he’s been advising artists to mind about their public brand. None of them however cares about it and they all look shambolic.
“I cannot vote Saha because of his behaviors. This is something I have told artists for long to mind their public image and brand. Just move around other countries and see how other presidents of artists behave. Saha clearly goes on TV and tells people how he smokes weed. What type of image is he trying to send out to the public about our job. Honestly, most of the people that are turning up for the UMA presidency don’t give me much hope,” Bebe Cool added.
The Wire wire singer however said that if no other artist picks up papers, he will vote for Cindy. He believes that the Boom Party singer can change if she listens to his words of advice.
In regards to the rumors of him running for the post, Bebe Cool refuted them. He said that he will only continue to guide but he has no absolute interest in the position.
