Benevolent Businessman Kibuuka Launches Sports Academy In Rukungiri

Team Kibuuka select soccer academy and football tournament launched officially on Sunday, 26th December 2021. The launch took place in Bwambara Sub County in Rukungiri District.

The former Uganda Cranes Captain and goalkeeper Denis Onyango Masinde graced the launch with his presence. He presided over as the Guest of honor at Bwambara Sub-County playground.

Ambrose Kibuuka Tumwesigye is the Philanthropic businessman behind the establishment of the soccer academy and tournament. He says that parents need to encourage and support their children by allowing them to develop their talents.

Furthermore, he noted that starting a soccer academy and football tournament would help him identify unexploited talents in the area.

He says this will help them be scouted by big football clubs in and outside the country.

‘’I encourage parents to support their children in order to discover hidden talents that will help them get money as well bring development in the area like my friend Onyango here. It is because of his talent that he has managed to make it in life now he plays for one of the biggest clubs in Africa Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa,’’ Kibuuka said.

Onyango also noted that developing football from the grassroots is key, commending it as the best future. He stressed that community clubs are greatly paramount in bringing development to the area. He revealed that people who come out to develop talents like Kibuuka are very few in the country.

Therefore, the community should see this as a privilege to them and support him.

‘’If we have people in our area that come out to develop talents, it’s good that we support them,’’ Onyango said.

Ruhinda sub-county football team won the day’s trophy after defeating Bugangari football by 6goals to five on penalty shootouts after a goalless draw.
