Beyoncé made history tonight at the 2021 Grammy Awards adding to her astonishing record-breaking wins. They don’t call her Queen Bey for nothing! She broke the record for most wins by any female artist and most wins for any singer male or female in Grammys history.
Before the Grammys night, (March 14, 2021), the country singer Alison Krauss held the record for the most-awarded female artist with 27 wins. Queen Bey took home four trophies last night bringing her total up to 28. She tied with legendary artist and music producer Quincy Jones.
The most awarded person in the Grammys history is late conductor Georg Solti with 31.
Beyoncé took home wins for Best R&B performance for ‘’Black Parade,’’ Best Rap Song. She also won Best Rap Performance for her ‘Savage’ remix with Meghan Thee Stallion as well as Best Music Video for ‘Brown Skin Girl.’
Bey lost Best R&B song to H.E.R & Meshell Ndegeocello’s ‘’Better Than I Imagined’’. She also lost Record of the Year for ‘’Black Parade’’ to Billie Eilish’s ‘’All I Ever Wanted.’’
In other news, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter also made history as one of the Grammys’ youngest winners. The talented mother-daughter duo won Best Music Video for ‘Brown Skin Girl. ’The track also features SAINt JHN and Wiz Kid.
Beyoncé was the most nominated artist of the night with nine nominations. She got shocked herself after making Grammy’s history for her Best R&B performance win.
In other facts, Beyoncé has garnered a whopping 79 Grammys nominations throughout her entire career. This makes her the most nominated female artist of all time.
