Recently, in Atlanta, there was a theft from a vehicle that included unreleased music by the renowned artist Beyonce. The stolen items also comprised show plans, past and future set lists for her tour, among other belongings.
This incident occurred just days before Beyoncé’s scheduled performances in the city.
The stolen items, including hard drives containing the unreleased songs and sensitive tour information, were taken from a rental car used by Beyoncé’s choreographer and one of her dancers.
The theft took place on 8 July, shortly before Beyoncé’s concert in Atlanta. Despite an arrest warrant being issued, the suspect remains unidentified.
According to the police report, choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue parked the vehicle and returned to find the rear window smashed and two suitcases missing.
Among the stolen items were jump drives containing watermarked music, unreleased tracks, show footage plans, and set lists for past and future performances.
Investigation and recovery efforts
Authorities used tracking information from a stolen laptop and Apple AirPods to trace the potential whereabouts of the stolen items.
Fingerprints were lifted from the vehicle, offering possible leads for the investigation. However, the report does not confirm if the stolen items have been retrieved.
As of now, there has been no official statement from Beyonce or her representatives regarding the theft.
The artist has continued with her scheduled performances in Atlanta as part of her Cowboy Carter stadium tour, with her husband Jay Z making a surprise appearance during one of the shows.
Choreographer Christopher Grant, known for his work with artists like Shakira, and dancer Diandre Blue, who appeared in a Super Bowl advert with Beyoncé in 2024, were the individuals affected by the theft.
The incident has raised concerns about the security of sensitive information and unreleased music belonging to high-profile artists like Beyonce.
