President -elect: Man Arrested For Threatening Mass Shooting If Joe Biden Becomes President

Biden Promises 100 Million COVID Vaccines in First 100 Days

US President-elect Joe Biden has promised Americans 100 million COVID-19 vaccines in his first 100 days in office. He revealed further that his first months in office would not do away with the virus, but that he would definitely change the course of covid-19.

‘’My first 100 days won’t end the Covid-19 virus. I can’t promise that. But we did not get into this mess quickly. We’re not going to get out of it quickly. In the first 100 days we can change the course of the disease and change life in America for the better,’’ Biden said.

He however warned that the coronavirus efforts could ‘’slow and stall’’ if congress did not conclude bipartisan talks and come up with funding. He said getting children back to schools would also be a top priority.

The president elect also urged Americans to wear their masks for 100 days as he introduced his health team for when he takes over in January. In recent events, a report paved way for a Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine to be approved and rolled out for Americans.

President Donald Trump meanwhile, attended a summit at the White House over his vaccination program called Operation Warp Speed. At the summit, he hailed the expected approval of vaccines.

The case of Covid-19;

The United States has recorded over 15 million cases of Covid-19 and has registered 285,000 fatalities connected to the pandemic. These statistics are in accordance with the Johns Hopkins University research, and both numbers are global highs.

Most parts of the country are registering peak infections, with record numbers of people in hospital. Experts have blamed the current surge on the millions of people who traveled over the recent Thanksgiving holiday.

At the White House, Mr. Trump signed an executive order to ensure that Americans had first priority in receiving doses of the vaccine. This move also appeared to follow his America First policy.
