Previously, FUFA scheduled the game scheduled for Thursday, 10 June 8, 2021, but has since drawn closer to the day before that.
The reason for this change by FUFA’s Competitions Department is because of the president’s directives banning inter-district travels from 10th.
‘’Following the President’s directive of suspending inter-district travels, this is to inform you that the Star Times Big League fixture matchday 13 which were supposed to be played on 10th June 2021 have been rescheduled to Wednesday 9 June 8, 2021,’’ a letter from Hajjat Aisha Nalule, Competitions Director read.
The venue for this game, however, still stands, the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in Jinja City.
Arua Hill are the leaders of the Elgon group with 26 points, three points ahead of Gaddafi. Both of these teams have two games left to play before the closure of the regular season.
The top club from each group will earn a direct slot into the Uganda Premier League.
Thy will promote three clubs from the FUFA Big League to the Uganda Premier League. Two of them will get direct slots that is to say one team per group (Rwenzori and Elgon). For the third team, they will determine it via the promotional play-off.
