Here’s Why Billionaire Shumuk Was Arrested By CID Police

A renown billionaire and business man in Kampala by the names of Shukla Mukesh aka Shumuk  was arrested on Monday at around 3pm over allegations of uttering counterfeit documents and forgery.

Shumuk who was arrested by CID police personnel and put in custody at Jinja road police station for interrogation was accused by Angela Katatumba for forging a signature of the chief justice Katureebe Bart following the property wrangles with her father, Bonny Katatumba (late), a renown businessman and former Pakistan consulate to Uganda

Later in the day, Shumuk was however released on bond and instructed to go back to the police station on Tuesday ( 20th Nov ) at 08:00am before proceeding to Buganda Road High Court where he is supposed to show up at 9am.

His legal representative, Bwangu Badru said his client was released on bond because Jinja Road Police Station is not facilitated to enable him to spend a night, according to daily monitor.
