Bleaching has become one of the most common habits practiced by Ugandan women and it’s done mostly by women that live in the urban areas of Uganda.
What is Bleaching?
Bleaching is changing of your born dark skin to become white or much lighter by a chemical process.
Despite of the many unhealthy effects that are decried about bleaching, more and more women seem to bleach typically.
President Museveni however seemed to be concerned about the issue of why his women citizens bleach.
Museveni was speaking to the youth that passed out of the non-formal training at the Uganda North America Youth Development Association in Mutundwe
He said “I pity women who bleach. You are in danger. My women you need to appreciate God’s creation. You can hardly walk anywhere without finding a woman who has not bleached but this is not good for your health. Stop tampering with nature.
