Singer Bobi Wine And Barbie Were Honored At Mpoma Girls School

Hon. Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine is among the most celebrated artistes in the entertainment industry, and has always been a role model to many youths most especially those from ghetto down town areas. Leave alone the ongoing protests for Social media and mobile money transaction taxes, this time around, he and Barbie decided to attend a big event at Mpoma girls.

The couple, Bobi Wine and Barbie were honored as full guests over the official handover of club and student leaders.

‘Barbie and me Bobi Wine were honoured to preside over the official handover of club and student leaders at Mpoma Girls school Mukono as Guests of honour.
Barbie having been to only single sex schools until university shared with the girls on how to be confident, respectful and most importantly make only resourceful friends and decisions. “If there’s something you must do now is to choose what you want to be in future and start working towards that as early as now.” She said.

I also shared with them the story of my life and reminded them that whatever they do today will determine what they will be tomorrow. When I look at such young boys and girls who are lucky to be in school today, I see myself years back when I was in high school like them and am always glad that I now go back to them to share a success story.
I reminded them that it is okay to enjoy their youth for as long as they do not confuse enjoying their youth with destroying their future for everything they do now must reflect the kind of people who they’ll become.
Shortly before leaving, I had an interview with the writers club of the school and I must confess that this was one of the most intelligent and smart teams of young minds I’ve met in high schools. I look forward to your production friends.

Indeed it was a great honor for Mpoma girls to host such important personalities.
