Bobi Wine has also asked Justice Ssekaana Musa to accord Kampala jailed lawyer Male Mabirizi Kiwanuka his right to a fair trial.
Earlier this week, security operatives arrested Lawyer Male Mabirizi and took him to a hideout. This happened after Justice Ssekaana’s order to imprison him for 18 months on charges of contempt of court.
“I’ve learnt of the arrest and detention of Mr. Male Mabirizi. He might have wronged some people but he’s is entitled to due process of law,” Bobi Wine said.
He further said all law enforcement agencies should uphold Mabirizi’s rights and freedoms and accord him his right to a fair trial.
Mr. Male Mabirizi filed a stay of execution in court last week, however, the registrars and Judges were not in court on Wednesday which was a public holiday, Thursday, and even on Friday.
According to his Lawyer Isaac Ssemakadde, they will know Mr. Mabirizi’s judgment on stay of execution on Friday 25th February 2021.

In another story by NEWSLEXPOINT.com, the controversial city lawyer, Male Mabirizi, became a resident in Kitalya government prison after police arrested him. Mabirizi was on the run for close to a week after High Court ordered his arrest to serve the 18 months punishment.
Kampala Metropolitan deputy Police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire said they later sent the controversial lawyer to Kitalya prison as the warrant of his arrest indicated.
