According to Tigan, he was overcontrolled by his previous manager Suudiman. He had to always ask for permission from Suudiman even for the easiest of things.
This troubled him so much and when he got the chance to quit, he joined Firebase. From Kamwokya, he learned a lot of things including the ghetto gladiator helping him to be free.
“Bobi Wine really helped me to be free. I had previously been managed by Suudiman and it was really difficult there. He was so protective of me. Imagine even going to a party of a friend or relative, I had to first ask him for permission. But joining Firebase helped me to be free. I also learnt a lot of things from Bobi Wine because he was an elder to me musically and well respected,” said the singer.
The two ended up collaborating on the hit song of Aneganye. Tigan, however, didn’t go on to find the success everyone thought he would find since he was very talented. He’s now back into his old profession of teaching and music as a part-time job.
The Abogezi singer also commended Eddy Kenzo’s Uganda National Musicians Federation. Whereas some musicians come out to brand the UNMF as a dubious group, Tigan said that they are moving quickly and swiftly towards their objectives.
