Bobi Wine: I’m Not The Reason Why The Music Industry Is Locked

Contrary to what has always been said that former Kyadondo East Mp Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine is the reason why the government has of recent introduced tough measures on to the music industry, the singer thinks otherwise.

While appearing in an interview with NBS TV KURT presenter Tuff B, the singer said he’s not the problem but rather a signal.

He added that all he did was to reawaken the artists and show them how much influence they have. The politician added that he’s not the one with the power to change the world. Rather, it’s the people he has empowered.

The NUP principal went ahead to quote legendary American deceased rapper Tupac.

“I’m not the whole entertainment industry but just a signal that has shown what the artists and other people are capable of. It’s why the government has tightened laws against artists. They are afraid of another Bobi Wine coming up as a threat. Tupac said that I cannot change the world but I guarantee you that I will spark the rest to cause change.” the singer said.

Ever since the singer-turned politician joined active politics, a number of stringent laws have been brought up on to the arts industry.

Even some entertainers have blamed the singer for the continued ban on the music industry.

Some of them claim that whenever Bobi Wine gets on stage, he misuses it to insult President Museveni.
