Bobi Wine Thanks Barbie For Staying By His Side Through It All

The saying that behind every successful man is a strong woman does exist. In this case, the saying applies to Ugandan musician Bobi Wine who turned politician and is now looking to become the president of the nation.

During an interview on Tuesday, Bobi Wine had nothing but praise for his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi Itungo. After his nomination on Tuesday, Bobi Wine turned emotional as he thanked Barbie for helping him get to where he is today.

He came from really far but she never gave up on him and she still believes in him to this day.

‘’ I don’t know what to say about my wife Barbie. She has fought several battles for me. I believe I would not be here if I did not have her support. There is nothing I can give back to her but I pray that God guides her and gives her whatever she desires,’’ Bobi Wine said.

His wife escorted him to the nomination grounds in Kyambogo on Tuesday. She also was one of his confidants as required by the Electoral Commission.

The couple held hands throughout the entire ceremony and were seen taking selfies at a certain point in time.

His nomination became a big step and according to many it is a historical event especially in Uganda’s music industry. This is because he became the first musician to stand for the presidency.
