Bobi Wine To be Nominated Amidst Heavy Police And Military Deployment

The nomination of Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine for presidency in the 2021 general elections is today. Police and the military have deployed heavily along the designated routes. He is representing the National Unity Platform party. Various people are anxiously waiting for how this day will turn out. Its a mixture of feelings, there is fear and joy at the same time. Most people have decided to avoid movement in fear of chaos.

All fingers crossed in the National Unity Platform camp for all things to go well. This is so because two presidential candidates missed out on nominations due to shortage in requirements. Anything can happen so its too early to perhaps celebrate, however Bobi’s followers should stay optimistic.

The electoral commission will clear  Bobi Wine along side four other candidates if nothing changes. Patrick Oboi Amuriat of Forum For Democratic Change, Willy Mayambala, Fred Mwesigye and Joseph Kabuleta. We will find out whether the two candidates that missed out yesterday will also be added to the list today.

Today is the last day of the presidential nominations. So this means whoever will miss out today may have to wait till 2026 when the next general elections will be held. Most of the camps plan to launch their manifestos after nominations and clearance for elections.

Designated route;

The police yesterday mapped out a route that Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu will use from his home in Magere, Wakiso district to the nomination venue in Kyambogo, Kampala.

According to the route chart, Kyagulanyi will travel from his home in Magere. Pass via Kumbuzi along Gayaza road. Then proceed through Ntinda, Kisaasi, Stretcher road, Spear Motors, Kyambogo University junction and eventually wind up at the nomination venue.
