Being a celebrity and one of the most loved people in Uganda, he was celebrated through social media and even surprise parties. He also took it down on his social media to celebrate himself and thank those that have celebrated him.
The NUP president said growing up from the ghetto, he wouldn’t believe he is where he is at the moment. His ultimate goal is to inspire the young generation.
Read his full statement below:
“Looking back at my life so far, I can only put my forehead to the ground and say THANK YOU LORD for the greatest gift, LIFE. As a young boy, I never imagined going half the distance I have gone. But reaching this age teaches me that God keeps us alive for a purpose bigger than just existing and then exiting.
So many friends made and so many lost, so many tears and so many smiles too. I have had the joy of loving and being loved back, the pain of trusting and being betrayed. But most importantly, I have made peace with the almighty God.
I hope my own life will inspire other people. Especially the ghetto youth to never allow anyone decide for them what they can achieve or become and what they can not. My dream is to see a free Uganda in my life time. Or at least to live every day trying to push towards that dream.
For all the failures and mistakes, I am fully responsible and for all the achievements that we have been able to accomplish, all the credit goes to God. Thank you all friends for the heartwarming messages. I am indebted to each and everyone of you. #BobiWineAt41,” Bobi Wine posted.
