Bukwo LCV Chairman On Arrest Warrant Over Defilement

Following the previous story that had been published on Newslex Point regarding  the misconduct of the LCV chairman Bukwo district, police have issued an arrest warrant for Moses Chelimo after he failed to appear at the Special Investigations Unit to make a statement on alleged defilement.

The suspect is wanted on charges of trafficking in persons and aggravated defilement of a secondary school student whom he also allegedly impregnated.

According to police mouthpiece Fred Enanga told Newslex Point that the suspect had been given summons to report to police on September 19 at the SIU division in Kireka but didn’t respond to the summons.

He added that there are four other cases of aggravated defilement that police are currently investigating that occurred in the separate jurisdictions across the country all relating to aggravated defilement.

Police further noted that such incidents clearly reveal the threats and dangers that the girl child still face by persons who are supposed to be role models.

“Such acts of abuse of the girl victims is a betrayal of trust and exploitation by the guardians like teachers, uncles, neighbors and even local leaders who instead of protecting the girl child they tend to take advantage of them, “ Enanga said.

The police spokesperson concluded that they have placed a warrant of arrest and put up serious manhunt for Bukwo LCV chairman Chelimo and these are holistic.
