The Cell chairmen received the maize grains on behalf of the farmers. This was at Hon Kabura’s home in Ishaka town, Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality on Monday 7th March 2022.
The area has 73 villages/cells and 16 wards and all the farmers from these villages will benefit from the distributed maize grains.
Hon Kabura said he will continue to provide seeds to farmers. Especially at the start of the rainy seasons as he has always done.
He said the village chairpersons will take the responsibility of distributing the grains to farmers.
Some of the chairmen who received the seeds thanked Honorable Kabura for his continuous support to farmers.
In other news by NEWSLEXPOINT.com, dairy farmers from the western region of Uganda, especially in Mbarara gave up on milk production. They resorted to beef production arguing that Uganda’s milk market is very unstable and unpredictable.
This comes after Kenya recently refusing to allow Uganda’s milk to enter the market. Western Uganda is a region that is famously known for cattle rearing over the years. Since time immemorial, the production of milk from that said has continued to rise.
