One of the residents in Bweyogerere whose names were not identified reported to media complaining that some security officers have gone too far by ordering residents to go indoors even if they find them in their own compounds minding their business.
During one of the national addresses, president Museveni warned Police and LDU officers against subjecting Ugandans to corporal punishments while telling them to be indoors in curfew hours, adding that instead of beating those defying the guidelines, they should arrest them. According to president’s clarification, he clearly stated that people should be off the streets by 7pm, but are free to move around their homes not a must that they should lock themselves inside their houses.
Shocking news indicates that residents in Bweyogerere suburbs are always stormed at their homes by some security officers ordering them on gun point that they should be inside their houses not outside. This has caused more fear within the vicinity.
“Government Weyayu” Most of the people started crying for the Govt to Intervene.
We’ve seen Americans on TV protesting on streets demanding the end of the ‘Stay at Home’ orders. Similar protests also took place in Beirut, Paris, India and in Iraq.
