Does National Unity Platform have a different strategy this time around? Have they sat down to ask themselves what made all the other protests fail? We have obviously not heard any working plan from the heads. It is only their president, Robert Kyagulanyi who called for supporters to have peaceful demonstrations. We can all agree that this is not enough.
We have had Kizza Besigye try this in recent years and all he got was going behind bars. Nonetheless, right now the only different thing is that most of the young people are involved in this. However, this is not something to dwell on especially because we are in the COVID era where crowds are not allowed. Most people are actually afraid of catching the virus and also the brutality from the forces.
So, was it a good idea to withdraw the petition case from court? What if they had just been a little more patient to see how it ends. May is just around the corner and if this so-called plan B remains in talks, Kyagulanyi will have to wait another five years to be president.
