The minister of defence in Canada, Mr Sajjan Harjit made an announcement on Thursday that the Canadian government is about to send a military plane with twenty five soldiers to Uganda to assist in United Nations peace keeping missions in the area.

According to Mr Harjit, the military plane will be utilized for transportation of military supplies, equipments and troops to the UN bases in both South Sudan and DR Congo.
Our assistance will be used to maintain the United Nation’s capacity to respond to crisis more faster and efficiently,’he said.
The military plane and the troops will be located at the UN coordination and operations base in Entebbe.
During the peacekeeping summit that took place in Vancouver, Canada in 2017, the Prime Minister of Canada had promised to deploy the military plane and Canadian troops to support the UN operations in DR Congo and South Sudan regions.
It’s time consuming a do a proper planning, it’s so difficult to support several missions through UN’s system to ensure it’s done well.
