Carol Nantongo Reveals She Survived Bomb Blast

Singer Carol Nantongo has come out to reveal she luckily survived the twin bomb blasts that rocked Kampala earlier this week.

The singer says that she had gone to town to acquire her driving permit. This however took long but she was lucky to have left town for Kikubo market by the time the bombs exploded.

She added that one of her cousin’s car got burnt and some of his friends were injured and rushed to the hospital.

“That morning I was in town to check on my permit. The process was however long and I left for Kikubo. It was while there that I heard the explosions. I didn’t know at first but soon news started circulating on social media. One of my cousins was around the area and his car got burnt. Luckily for him, he had moved out and his friends sustained injuries but were rushed to hospital,” Carol Nantongo narrated.

The Ontuka singer meanwhile celebrated her birthday yesterday and was treated to a surprise from her family. She revealed how her siblings showered her with cold water unaware.

Carol Nantongo who couldn’t reveal her actual age as most Ugandan female celebrities said that she’s in her 20’s. She also like other artists decried the poor financial status they are in.

She added that she’s been performing at parties but the income is very low because even the attendees cry the same. Meanwhile, she released a new song titled ‘Gwe Wange’ as she gears up for concerts to be reopened next year.
