Chameleone Doesn’t Have Support in Kampala, Won’t Win—Mp Kato Lubwama

Controversial comedian and Rubaga South MP Kato Lubwama has come out to downplay Jose Chameleone’s potential to beat Erias Lukwago in the mayoral race.

Lubwama said he will support Lukwago over Chameleone. Apparemtly the latter’s leadership skills are seriously lacking and can not win against Lukwago.

“I am going behind someone who has support and the power to pull crowds. Chameleone lacks that,” Kato Lubwama explained.

Chameleone is contesting against Erias Lukwago, who is representing the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party. And the National Unity Party’s flag bearer, Nabilah Naggayi Ssempala. All those two representing opposition parties, and also his fellow singer Ragga Dee representing the NRM. The Electoral Commission nominated Jose Chameleone as an Independent candidate after losing the NUP flag.

On Bobi Wine’s Journey;

Mp Kato Lubwama recently said that if Bobi Wine fails to deliver change, a number of Ugandans will turn their backs on him. Hon. Kato also noted that Bobi Wine’s strong support is based on the reality that he represents the cause that most people want to see, but not that the people love him as an individual. This is an authority no other artist can command.

Ugandan don’t want Bobi Wine as an individual but they like him for the cause of change that he is representing. So, because these other artists don’t know how to go about it, they find themselves in a dip.

In related news;

Kato Lubwama last month declared that he will support Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine in the 2021 presidential elections.

Kato Lubwama told journalists that his people in Rubaga division instructed him to support Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu for presidency because he is a strong presidential candidate.

Before that, he had said he won’t support the ‘Kyarenga’ Hit maker. His change of mind is what remains surprising, perhaps that’s what makes him controversial.
