Saha will however have to first beat off competition from the incumbent Cindy who is seeking to be re-elected but this time to a full term. Although Saha has the stake high on him to scoop the vote, Chris Evans thinks his leadership might not be rosy as it’s thought to be.
While appearing on NBS After 5 program, the Rihanna singer said that he supports King Saha but the music industry is a very disorganized one. It will therefore need divine intervention to get streamlined and well functioning.
Evans further added that he had so much hope in Cindy. And he believes that she did her part but it’s time to hand over the mantle to someone else.
“Our industry needs divine intervention. When I subscribed to UMA, I had so much hope in @IamCindySanyu and I believe she did her part, but it’s time for @kingsaha256 to take on. However, I will be shocked if Saha delivers,” he said.
The singer also added that the government needs to come and intervene in the industry. Instead of studios that the government had embarked on setting up, Evans said that all they need is to earn from their music. They can do this through copyright law.
“The government needs to know that Ugandan musicians can afford studios. What’s needed is for them to be able to earn from their music. This can be done through good copyright laws,” the singer revealed.
He also applauded his fans who claim that he’s the best singer of love songs in the country. Evans said that he doesn’t take the recognition for granted.
