Cindy Sanyu Finally Bows, Open To Unity Of UMA And Kenzo’s Federation

Musician Cinderella Sanyu aka Cindy Sanyu has finally bowed to calls of unity between her Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) and Kenzo’s Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).

This is after musicians from both organisations were appointed to the board of trustees of the Uganda National Cultural Center (UNCC).

Among the appointed included, Bebe Cool, Lilian Mbabazi, Phina Mugerwa, Hannington Bugingo among others. Speaking about it, Cindy expressed her delight at UMA’s secretary general, Phina on being appointed one of the board’s trustees.

She said that she will provide the help the Masanyalaze singer shall need in effecting her new role. This, therefore, means that UMA and the Federation shall be in close contact most of the times.

Additionally, the Boom Party singer added that she’s content with the new appointments. This is because they are all rich men who she doesn’t think are after opportunistic gains. All the appointees can get what they want for themselves out of their own pockets.

Cindy went ahead to say that she’s never been against the unity of all musicians. What she always wanted was organisation and she’s aware that this is now possible.

It should be recalled that a few months back, the singer was vehemently against the idea of both organisations uniting. Whenever it was suggested, she would quickly shrug it off and would also blast this federation.

She used to see it as a threat to her own supremacy in UMA but this stance has since softened. In regards to the money given to the musicians SACCO, the singer said that she’s not aware of anything.
