Comedy Store Has Killed The Comedy Of Uganda – MC Kapale

Faded comedian MC Kapale real name Simon Kasuku, has accused Comedy Store owned by Alex Muhangi of killing the comedy in Uganda. Comedy Store has been in existence for more than five years as a weekly show. It has brought more new talents to the industry. Most of them have become successful and have also gone on to bigger platforms.

When comedy store was growing, he started attacking Alex Muhangi and abusing him in public. Like any other human being, Muhangi got angry and cut ties with Kapale denying him a chance to perform at comedy store. That drew him behind, other promoters stopped giving him a platform hence slowly losing his career and fan base.

Last year MC Kapale tried to apologize to Alex Muhangi so that he can get the opportunity to perform for his fans again. He forgave Kapale and he started performing again but fans were not happy with his jokes any more.

According to him, he never faded but comedy store is not a good platform. It killed his career and the careers of other comedians that don’t want to speak up.

He said young comedians shouldn’t get near Alex Muhangi because they will not make it.

MC Kapale also asked fellow comedians to come out and say something about comedy store before their careers are done.

“Comedy Store has killed the comedy of Uganda and people are not seeing that. When these comedians show up and are given little money they forget about their content that Comedy Store owns for good. Ugandans should wake up before it’s late and fight for the comedy industry,” MC Kapale said.
