Corona Virus Patient Gives Birth To Healthy Baby Girl

A 22 year old corona virus patient whose names were withheld gave birth to a healthy baby at Entebbe Grade B hospital.

The young Ugandan mother from Kyengera, Wakiso District was reportedly infected by her husband who was among those returned from Dubai just of recent.

On Saturday, Entebbe Grade B hospital director Dr Muwonge Moses said that the patient gave birth to a healthy baby girl through a Caesarean section on Saturday afternoon at 2pm.

The corona virus patient and her bouncing baby girl are doing well, health wise, according to Dr Moses.

The special forces command officer who is also in charge of COVID-19 Isolation Section at Entebbe Grade B hospital Capt Dr. Mogoba David said he was happy that the Caesarean operation was successful.

As of the 3rd of April 2020, 419 were tested and 3 were positive making it 48 in total out of 2,216 test results.

Yesterday the 4th of April, 398 were tested and they were all negative. The majority of these are people who have been in quarantine having returned into the country around the time were suspended in bound and out bound passenger travels by plane, vehicle, water or even just walking on foot.
