The events boss accused Kenzo of breaching their contract signed in 2020. He was the one supposed to organize the Eddy Kenzo Festival at Kololo Independence Grounds in 2020.
All papers had been signed but then COVID-19 broke out and events were indefinitely suspended. When concerts resumed this year, Kenzo went ahead to organize the show under his Big Talent label and it massively sold out.
This saw Luba proceed to court and it in turn barred Kenzo from performing anywhere in the country. And with the festive season around the corner, he risked missing out on minting some monies.
Luckily for him, the court has cleared him to go ahead with performing in Uganda.
“Lies are too loud with unnecessary noise but the truth always comes in organized sweet melodies. Today the 20th of December, the Honorable court of Uganda ruled in our favour against the temporary injunction that was intended to stop Me from doing my job.
The matter has been dismissed with costs. I can only tell you my people that we gonna have a good time this festive season. Make the dates.”
Kenzo will sing at Colline Hotel Mukono, Uganda Museum and Entebbe Zoo on Christmas. On boxing day, he will be performing at Kavumba Recreational Centre and Bebe Cool’s Tondeka e Kiwatule. He will then perform at Green Ville- Masaka and Masheda Palms in Buyala on New Year’s eve.
The singer will open his 2023 performances at Buloba Forest Park and Nimrod Beach in Luweero. The Grammy-nominated singer will then wind up his performances on 7th January at Hilltop Hotel in Semuto.
