Well, touching a married woman in the Middle Eastern country is equivalent to adultery. It was from here that reports started making rounds about how the 5 time Ballon D’or winner had violated Iranian laws.
“Cristiano Ronaldo could face a sentence of “99 lashes for adultery” the next time he visits Iran. this is because of a photo with a painter where he hugged and kissed her on the cheek. In Iranian law, touching a married woman is equivalent to adultery.”
However, contact with the Iranian embassy in Spain denied these allegations. It said that Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be charged with anything in regard to this case.
Therefore, this rumor making rounds on social media is not true.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo scored a brace yesterday against Slovakia to inspire Portugal to their 6th consecutive appearance at the UEFA Euros.
