Critically Ill Comedian Bugingo Accuses Alex Muhangi Of Neglect

Comedian Hassan Ssenyonjo popularly known for portraying city pastor Aloysius Bugingo has come out to accuse Comedy Store boss Alex Muhangi for not helping him in his critical condition.

The comedian appeared on TV in a very sad state with urine passing through his shorts after a critical condition suffered to his private parts.

He went ahead to say that they diagnosed him with the sickness two years ago but got help to soothe the pain.

“The situation first got worse in 2019 but I was taken to hospital by Taata Sam and Ssenga Ssebanga where I received help. I was however given medicine and stabilized a bit but now the situation has become worse,” the comedian said.

Having performed at Comedy Store some time back, they asked him if Muhangi has ever helped him.

This was after news that Muhangi had accorded the ailing comedian Ugx 500,000 but he denied the claim.

He said that Muhangi only makes money out of them but doesn’t reach out to them even through a phone call.

“Muhangi is lying and I don’t even want to hear his name. He has never helped me apart from making money from me. All I want is people to help me just as me. If he has proof of that money, he should bring it,” the comedian added.

However, when they contacted Muhangi, he confirmed that they helped the comedian. However, they didn’t hand the money to him directly.

Muhangi said that Bugingo came to the comedians’ association and told them he wanted to do a cancer check up. It was then that Muhangi proceeded to pay for this check up out of his pockets.

However, the comedian never showed up for the test.

“That boy’s case is complicated as it first came up in 2019. He came to TUCA and told us that he wanted to do a medical checkup to which I solely paid for. He however never showed up for the test and vanished. This made us think he was lying,” Muhangi said.

He then said that since they have just learnt of the matter, they will do all they can to assist Bugingo.

The comedian says be needs Shs 27M to go to Nairobi for an operation lest the situation escalates into cancer.
