Curfew Hours Will Remain In Place; Museveni Disappoints Moslems

Moslems are in for disappointment as Museveni insists on retaining curfew hours from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am. Since the Ramadan season started, Moslems have been crying for a re-adjustment in curfew. This they say, would enable them pray the prayer after Futari at 8:00pm. The president has however insisted that they should pray from home if they can’t keep up with curfew.

“Our strong advice, of course, is that the Muslims can pray in the night but not congregate. You can pray in your house and the mosque as long as the numbers are within those advised by the Ministry of Health. For the Ramathan, my appeal is that please, I am also a Godly person and I remember what we learnt in catechism that God is in all places. Nobody should put our people at risk in name of praying. That is not religious.”

In this short speech of about 20 minutes, the president actually changed nothing. He clarified on the covid situation in the country. According to the ministry of health, the mutant virus from covid is already within the country. Places like bars remain closed until a viable solution is got. He advised musicians to embrace online concerts in the meantime.

The president confirmed that efforts to make our own vaccine are yet to yield. In just a few months from now, the vaccine will be tested on people to see how it works. According to him, vaccines from outside the country can’t be so reliable but he encouraged people to get vaccinated.
