The reports have it that the singer currently doesn’t see eye to eye with his Black Market’s boss, Cedric Singleton.
Andre has for long been the label’s main face and biggest brand. However, their issues seem to stem from the misuse of funds. It’s further said that the Tonelabila singer has been using the label’s funds inappropriately for his selfish gains.
These allegations come at a time Andre is being accused by his ex-wife Nina Roz of stealing her Toyota Mark X car and 20 million shillings.
This saw Andre retaliate by running to court. He served Nina Roz with an intention to sue notice and demanded 120 million shillings from her.
This is for the 4 songs he did for her while she was still in a relationship with him. Andre however claims that she still has an agreement with her running for 4 years.
For Black Market Records, this is not the first case they are facing.
This label last year was always in the mix with artists running away from their contracts and accusing it of being unfair and exploitative.
Artists like Bruno K, Rabadaba, Jamie Culture, Nina Roz among others all quit the label after several disagreements pertaining to their contractual obligations.
It was only Andre who had always stuck by the label. He was even the reason most artists joined this Nigerian label. Calls had even grown amongst different artists and other industry stakeholders to have it banned from operating in Uganda.
