These artists faced backlash from the public who branded them beggars. Lutalo however says that he had gone to demand for money that rightfully belonged to musicians.
The singer further revealed his plans for next year in case they reopen the entertainment centers. Lutalo said that he can’t wait to meet his fans as he has new music in store.
He also addressed debates that have been pinning him against fellow singer, Mesach Ssemakula.
“I did not go to Gulu to beg for money from Gen Saleh. I only went to demand our money as musicians because the industry had been closed for long and as musicians, we were supposed to be given a stimulus package.
I’ve also not been able to release new music because of the lockdown. There is no money for me to invest in music that I won’t earn from in the lockdown. I have majorly released collabos. My fans should however expect exciting things in case the economy is reopened without any restrictions. I can’t wait to see them again and so are they. I have seen comparisons between me and Mesach Ssemakula but all I can say is that I’m humbled because he’s a legend. He started singing when I was in p7 and therefore this is something big for me,” Lutalo said.
