The attacks targeted law enforcement personnel who tirelessly work to maintain peace and order within their communities.
According to prosecutor Alejandaro Hernandez the unidentified attackers targeted security patrols in the municipality of Coyuca de Venitez.
Meanwhile he added that according to preliminary information the motive for the massacre was being investigated.
