Dj Jacob Omutuuze Set To Drag UAE To Court Over Illegal Detention

Dembe FM presenter Dj Jacob Omutuuze is set to drag the United Arab Emirates to court after he was deported from the country.

Jacob was also banned for 40 years without ever stepping in the country.

The issue arises from him allegedly bearing a fake passport which even shows that he’s a Nigerian.

Jacob who was thrown behind bars at the airport in Dubai for almost 5 days says he needs an explanation from the UAE embassy in Uganda.

“I had gone to Dubai first and foremost to relax and refresh my mind. I have had a busy year of politics therefore I wanted to change the environment. There were also awards in Dubai organized by Ugandans where I was invited as one of the hosts.

However on reaching at the airport, I was thrown behind bars. I therefore demand an explanation from the UAE embassy here.”

“It’s not the first time this is happening to me in Dubai. I have never gone past the airport. I’ve never been a Nigerian and I got the passport from here legally. I want to know how I will be compensated for my schedules that were disrupted,” he said.

Jacob also thanked everyone who came to his rescue.

The Bunamwaya lord mayor thanked the likes of Pallaso, Juliana Kanyonozi and Flavia Namulindwa for helping him out.

When they asked him if the NUP principle, Bobi Wine had posted him in his struggles, Jacob said that he doesn’t need to.

He said that he’s the principle of his own life and doesn’t need to be posted or showed unnecessary sympathy.
