Now taking to her social media pages, she said that women shouldn’t be kneeling for their men.
According to Kabareebe, kneeling is a sign of slavery. Therefore if there are men who have their wives kneel for them, they are then taking them for slaves.
“If your wife kneels down for you, then you are taking her for a slave. Kneeling is a sign of slavery!,” she said.
This is not the first time she’s expressing her widely off the mark views towards the marriage institution.
However, Africa and Uganda in particular are known as areas with vast cultures. Therefore what happens in one culture is not what is practiced in another.
And besides most norms and traditions of the African setting have slowly been getting eroded all in the name of feminism and women emancipation.
Such a view was also expressed by UNAIDS Executive Director Winnie Byanyima. Byanyima said that she doesn’t kneel when greeting anyone be it a man or a woman. She wondered why men also don’t kneel for women.
