Singer-turned-politician Hilary Kiyaga aka Dr Hilderman lost his temper with a TV reporter after he was questioned about his relationship with his party president, Bobi Wine.
Hilderman who is the MP of Mawokota North was among those legislators brought forth by Bobi Wine’s NUP wave in 2021. H
There have been a couple of rumors that he’s no longer close with his fellow singer. The two are rarely spotted together in any party activities.
Besides, the Mazongoto singer is not a common face at NUP’s Makerere Kavule headquarters. This, therefore, has always had some people thinking that the MP is one of those who fell out with his boss.
Yesterday, a reporter did not shy away from presenting the question to the singer/MP. To add salt to the wound, she told him that it was alleged the MP stole money thus the fallout. Hilderman replied with a simple ‘Genda okibuuze nyoko’ translating for ‘go and ask that question to your mother.’
Where it all started;
The singer-turned-MP was attending a Uganda National Cultural Forum that had several singers such as Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo in attendance.
They deliberated on a couple of issues. Dr Hilderman also talked about the money that the Federation received. He said that he’s not a member of the Kenzo-led Federation. However, he’s been pivotal in seeing that the Copyright law is amended to what the entertainers want.
Besides, he supported the idea of the government extending money to the SACCO of the Federation, a thing which his boss Bobi Wine greatly criticized and opposed.
On top of that, the singer said that he’s been talking with the Speaker about the issue. And she assured him that it was presented before the Cabinet.
