Dr. Moriku Joyce Confirms Uganda Is Corona Virus Free, Avoid Handshakes!

Apparently, the global health risk which erupted in China the infamous Corona virus (COVID-19) kills in a very short period of time. In Uganda, over three foreigners were fully checked at Entebbe hospital and tested negative. Ugandans shouldn’t worry much about the virus but must be aware that it spread to a few western countries.

The Minister of health for Primary Healthcare Dr. Moriku Joyce Kaducu (PhD) spoke to journalists in Kampala yesterday, Uganda has not yet confirmed any case of Corona Virus COVID-19.

Doctor Joyce further added that the risk of it’s importation persists at a higher rate since Uganda standardized an open entry policy for travelers from affected countries like China since they even have money income generating businesses, tourism and services.

“To date, a total of 722 travelers have been isolated for purposes of follow up. Of these 499 are Chinese Nationals, 150 are Ugandan citizens while 73 other nationals. 41% of these people have completed their mandatory days of self-isolation. Additionally, so far samples from 10 suspected cases of CoronaVirus disease have been tested all tested negative” Dr Joyce Kaducu said.
