According to this barely-known musician, he found this beat at Badi Music studios with producer, Asteyn.
The beat had been shunned by many singers but Slungslayer decided that it was the best for him. He polished it by telling the producer to add in a few ingredients and then made a song in it.
However, this song didn’t make rounds despite having been released in 2018. Later on, Asteyn left Badi Music and signed for Kenzo’s Big Talent. Asteyn continued to look for him to come and they do music.
And one day while in studio, Kenzo’s manager Muhumuza Martin Beta found Slungslayer and Asteyn in studio.
Muhumuza became so afraid of how good Slungslayer was and told Asteyn to stop there. It was then that the producer told this singer he should sell the Toninyilira song to them.
Slungslayer however refused and little did he know that they had already made a song out of it.
He’s now prepared to go toe to toe with the BET Award winner in a bid to get justice.
He says there is no reason why established musicians should always take advantage of the upcoming ones. Also, he adds that the Big Talent boss could have asked to work together or even reach out formally before doing the song. Apparently, his lawyers are already moving the papers to sue the Semyekozo singer.
Apparently, Slungslayer said that his family too has basic needs. His mother can’t even afford sugar while his siblings are all seated at home with no school fees. And it’s his music career that he’s looking to to offset all these problems.
A quick search on YouTube indeed confirms that he uploaded his song 5 years ago. It’s however yet to make even 1k views but the beat between his song and Kenzo’s Bombastic is just the same.
