President Museveni has appointed singer Edirisa Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo as the Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives. The Big Talent singer is now one of the 160 senior presidential advisors with this list expected to continue growing.
Kenzo’s appointment has however aroused different reactions among the public. Several people have come out to congratulate the singer.
His wife who is also the national youth representative in Parliament and doubles as the State Minister for Energy, Hon Phiona Nyamutoro was among those to congratulate him.
“Congratulations on your well-deserved appointment @eddykenzoficial, proud of you as always . Thank you H.E @KagutaMuseveni,’ she said.
The singer was congratulated;
State Minister for the Youth, Hon Balaam Barugahara also congratulated the singer saying, “Big congratulations to the one and only @eddykenzoficial on your appointment as Senior Presidential Advisor on Creativity! This is a well-deserved recognition of your talent, hard work, and dedication to the arts. Your creativity and passion have inspired countless individuals. And we can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make in this new role. Keep shining and pushing boundaries!”
However, there are those who opposed and criticized this appointment. They see it as a waste of resources and taxpayers money.
This is due to the fact that there are other presidential advisors such as Full Figure, Buchaman and Catherine Kusasira whose impact has never been seen.
The Big Talent boss’ appointment however is expected to benefit the music industry. This is especially in the fight for the copyright law which the BET Award winner has been at the forefront of fighting for.
