This is after he was asked about his recent nomination in the Caribbean awards set to happen in Jamaica in May.
The musician said that he well deserves these nods. This is because he’s been on the scene and has surely done all it takes to bag the bragging rights.
Kenzo was then asked if he feels that Ugandans have not appreciated him enough. The Weekend singer said that he can’t complain about the love from Ugandans.
They have surely supported him to the top citing that he has the biggest concert in Uganda’s history.
He added that it’s only a few local bloggers who try to mock his achievements. However he doesn’t care about these because they barely know what they are always talking about.
“I was recently nominated in the Caribbean awards for a third time and I have won once. I think I have done all it takes to be up there as my achievements speak. Ugandans have been a big part of my career and I can’t complain about their love towards me. They have supported me from the start of my career up to now. For instance I have the biggest tour in the country and the biggest concert in Uganda’s music industry ever, the Eddy Kenzo Festival,” said the BET award winner.
The musician meanwhile also talked about the recent National Promoters Association decree.
These stated that no one will be allowed to organize concerts anymore without their clearance. Kenzo however who organizes his own concerts said that he will go ahead without their clearance.
According to Kenzo, these have no right to stop him from organizing his own music.
