In the history of Ugandan music, it’s very hard to leave out Eddy Kenzo’s name if you are asked to mention creative musicians of all times. The ‘Sitya Loss‘ Hit maker is good at creating good tunes out of his own life experience and the best example is ‘Semyekozo’ one of his monster hits.
The singer is one of the artistes who has recently expressed his views about the political atmosphere in the country, something that prompted him to hit the studio to record a song to that effect, making lemonade out of lemon like he advised in his ‘Semyekozo‘ banger. The song called ‘Yogera Bulungi’ explains escalating levels of anger among people today and its demerits.
In his new song, he calls upon everyone to avoid funny sayings such as Énsi egula mirambo’ which are being spoken by certain people for their selfish reasons. The ‘Jubilation ‘Hit maker also says he is in the quest of peace, but looking for it peacefully and asking fellow Ugandans to follow the same trail.
“Ugandans reduce the anger, speak well and also be reminded that fire does not put out fire. If we are all angry, we will not be able to see who is right at the end of the day” some of the song lyrics translated in English.
The artist says in the song that opinions differ and people should not create enemies simply because their friends do not agree with what they say.
“In this era everything is possible, we are young people who have a future, we should just be strong since time is coming as patience is a virtue and those that last longer see a lot of things,” the song lyrics read
