The singer took to his social media pages to applaud and rally support for the 2019 Miss Uganda Oliver Nakakande in the ongoing
The Sitya Loss singer said that Nakakande had made history by being the first black woman to join this pageant.
“Our sister and miss Uganda 2019 Oliver Nakakande is representing us in UAE for Miss Universe UAE. She has made history as the first black woman to join Miss Universe UAE. Out of 15,000 women, she’s through to the top 30 finalists and needs our support throughout come November 7th at the finale in Dubai.
She advocates for women and girl child rights and with such a huge platform, I believe she will achieve more,” the singer posted.
Nakakande while addressing her participation in this pageant said that she was so humbled to have made it to the final 30. She went ahead to say that she faced a lot of challenges in regards to sexual awareness while growing up.
Nakakande further said that from the research she had done, lots of youth are still succumbing to HIV and premature deaths.
It was from this that she decided to use her platform to promote sex awareness.
Nakakande went ahead to tell all those girls that she aspires to inspire them to believe that their dreams are still valid.
