Electricity Was Cut Off To Abduct Our People – Bobi Wine

The leader of the National Unity Platform, Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, has revealed that last night’s power cut off was one of the regime plots to kidnap his supporters.

It should be recalled that there was a countrywide power blackout last night. This lasted for close to 2 hours or more before electricity was restored.

But according to Bobi Wine, this was no mistake. As the country languished in darkness, his supporters somewhere were being kidnapped.

He therefore advised all those that subscribe to him to always be vigilant and keep around people. Bobi Wine also advised people to stop moving outside unnecessarily because these are not normal times.

“As power is off nationwide, be sure the regime is abducting our people in darkness! So, remain vigilant, comrades. Keep around a group of people if possible. Unless it’s urgent, do not go out. These are NOT normal times.”

However according to the Uganda Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd (UETCL), there was a technical glitch on the electricity transmission grid. This left many places across the country in a total blackout.

“UETCL informs its stakeholders and the general public that we are experiencing a national blackout. We shall keep you updated as we work on restoration of power. All inconveniences caused are regretted.”

Meanwhile, the issue of abductions has continued going on unabated. “Drones” as always have continued to kidnap people even in broad daylight.

However, regime apologists term this as lawful arrests. Attempts by Mityana Municipality MP, Hon Francis Zaake to bring up the issue on the floor of Parliament saw the deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon Thomas Tayebwa shut him down immediately.
