While at his birthday, Kabaka Mutebi said that he loves Pallaso’s music. He in fact always jams to it while working out. And it was for this reason that he asked his son Prince Jjunju if he knows the musician.
Jjunju said that he does and that’s how the Malamu singer ended up being invited to perform for the Buganda Fountain of Honor. The singer indeed went and it’s a day that he won’t ever forget.
Speaking to the media after his performance, Pallaso was starstruck and added that this is the greatest moment of his career.
“I’m so excited and I can’t believes that ‘Bba Ffe’ Ssabasajja has appreciated and allowed me to perform for him. I don’t think I’m going to wash my hands today. I want to thank my family and all the Buganda royals who made this possible for me. Kabaka told me some words and these really uplifted my spirit and I will take them to the grave,” said Pallaso.
Meanwhile, a close look at his feet during the performance showed that he had one sock with stripes and another was pure white. The singer out of excitement and in a hurry seemed to have worn the socks that just fell his way.
Meanwhile, the Kabaka was celebrating his 68th birthday which took place at the Lubiri Palace in Mengo. It was attended by a number of dignitaries from both the central government and the Buganda government.
A notable absentee was the Nnaabagereka, Sylvia Nagginda. This raised some concerns amongst social media users especially following her recent autobiography which raised dust.
