Express Football Club is determined to bounce back to their winning form as they prepare to face Police at Hamz Stadium this Thursday. The seven-time champions faced a setback in their recent match against newly promoted Lugazi, following a resounding 4-1 victory over Wakiso Giants.

Badru Kaddu’s team is expected to dominate the game, but they remain cautious of the resilient Police squad, situated just above the relegation zone.

Despite enduring only five league losses this season, Express has secured a mere three wins, trailing behind Vipers, NEC, and BUL in terms of defeats.

Simon Peter Mugerwa’s side, coming off a defeat against vipers, is eager to capitalize on their commendable performance.

Mugerwa emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities and enhancing their gameplay to secure favorable results in the upcoming fixtures.

Past encounters and rivalry

The previous match between the two teams concluded in a 2-2 draw, with Police salvaging a late equalizer through Isaac Ogwang’s penalty.

Notably, Police has been unable to clinch a victory against Express since their 6-1 triumph in 2020 at Lugogo, adding intensity to their longstanding rivalry.
